I feel immensely proud to write this as the Headteacher of such a wonderful school, a role I have had the privilege of holding for nearly four years. In that time, I have come to appreciate even more deeply what makes our school so special.
When I speak to past pupils and parents of SSPP, they talk with genuine pride about the school and the lasting impact it has had on their lives and the lives of their children. Our pupils care about their education and understand the importance of going out into the world and doing good. It is this shared sense of dedication, empathy and love that truly defines our school community.
Becoming a Headteacher has always been an aspiration of mine, and it is a privilege to lead a school where children, staff and families work together to flourish. I am passionate about ensuring that every child not only thrives personally, but also develops the confidence and character to make a meaningful contribution to society and beyond. The opportunities for our children are endless, and I feel incredibly fortunate to play a part in helping them discover their passions and purpose.
We are a school that values collaboration and partnership. We actively seek opportunities to work with others to strengthen our curriculum, enrich our Parish links and deepen our connection with the wider community. Through these positive relationships, we believe we can make a real difference – one child at a time.
Our award-winning curriculum is both knowledge-rich and humanity-rich, designed to give children not only the essential knowledge they need, but also the experiences and opportunities to truly understand the world around them. We believe learning should be meaningful, memorable and inspiring. Through carefully planned opportunities, both within and beyond the classroom, our children deepen their understanding, broaden their horizons and develop the confidence to engage thoughtfully with the world.
We aim to equip every child with the understanding, resilience and moral compass they need, especially in moments of uncertainty. Whatever challenges they may face, the education they receive at SSPP will prepare them well for life.
As part of the Parish of Holy Apostles and Martyrs in the Diocese of Shrewsbury, our faith is at the heart of everything we do. We are guided by Gospel values, which shape our decisions, our relationships and the way our children grow in both word and action.
If you would like to find out more about our school, you are always very welcome to visit.
The kettle is always on.
